- X (Twitter) sign-in: We receive your display name only. Your email address is not collected or stored when signing in with X.
- Profile image: Your profile picture is initially synced from your chosen sign-in provider (Google or X). You may optionally change or remove it at any time from your account settings. This image is stored securely and is never displayed publicly.
When you use the platform
- Watch history: We record the videos you watch to provide personalised recommendations.
- Playlists & bookmarks: Any content you save is stored to your account.
- Behavioural signals: We collect basic signals such as whether you are logged in or a guest, used solely to improve content recommendations.
What we do not collect
- Payment or financial information — ProneFlix is currently free to use.
- Your real name beyond what your chosen sign-in provider supplies.
- Your location or device identifiers beyond what standard analytics tools report.
04 — How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate you and maintain your session.
- Personalise your content feed and recommendations.
- Restore your watch history and playlists across sessions.
- Analyse platform usage to improve performance and features.
- Send you occasional service-related communications (see Section 9).
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles or sell it to any third party.
05 — Cookies & Tracking
We use the following types of cookies and tracking technologies:
- Session cookies: Required to keep you logged in. These are essential and cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

07 — Your Rights & Controls
You have full control over your data within the platform:
- Watch history: You can clear individual entries or your entire watch history from your account settings at any time.
- Playlists: You can add or remove items from your playlists freely.
- Profile image: You can update or remove your profile photo at any time. Accounts with removed profile pictures will show a default placeholder. Profiles are never visible to other users.
- Account deletion: You can permanently delete your account (see Section 8).

08 — Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion:
- All personal data associated with your account — including your email (if collected), watch history, playlists, and profile image — is permanently and irreversibly purged from our systems.
- Deletion is processed immediately and cannot be undone.
09 — Communications
We may occasionally send you emails regarding your account or the platform, such as:
- Account verification and security notices.
- Product updates and announcements.
Account-level emails (e.g., security alerts) are essential to the service and cannot be unsubscribed from while your account is active.
Marketing and announcement emails can be unsubscribed from at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email, or by adjusting notification preferences in your account settings.
10 — Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. However, no system is 100% impenetrable. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to log out when using shared devices.
